"Ride of Their Lives"
As part of the ever popular MacMillan Charity meeting at York Racecourse, now in its' tenth year, ten amateur riders spend months on end training hard and raising funds for the leading charity. Before racing, their hard work was rewarded with a race over a mile and one furlong on the Knavesmire. Each participant was raising money having been affected in some way by cancer and have done brilliantly to raise so much.

Bella Brown on Gulf Of Poets (Silks: Dark blue body with pink diamond, dark blue sleeves with pink stripes, dark blue cap with pink star)
George Atkinson on Chief Craftsman (Silks: Yellow body with purple hoops, yellow sleeves with purple hoop. Yellow and purple hooped cap)
Bethany Johnson on Prince Achille (Silks: Green body with red stripes, green sleeves. Red cap)
Carolyn Woods on Madeeh (Silks: Red body with yellow seams, red sleeves with yellow stripes. Red and yellow striped cap)
Issy Saxby on Decoding (Silks: Blue body, sleeves and cap with green epaulettes on body)
Lucy Horan on Currency Exchange (Silks: Yellow body and cap, white crossbelts on body)
